I’m a part of a lovely group of writers who share one another’s words each weekend. So I realize the weekend is nearly over, but I was traveling and I’m late to the table on well, pretty much everything right now.
I thought I’d share some recommended posts with you while I catch up on life. My cup overflows with laundry.
Stephanie Carney just validated all my reasons for re-reading books. YES, I re-read books all the time. Mostly for the reasons she gives. Sometimes I want something familiar, but I find a new book every time I re-read it. I know I drive my husband crazy for re-reading books, but I can’t seem to stop.
Amber Salhus wrote a transparent post over at Grace Table about the time in her life when she was burned out from opening her doors. Remember when I wrote that hospitality wasn’t my gift but I needed to show it anyway? Well, it turns out even those who embrace their gift for it might need a reprieve.
Tresta Payne has some beautiful words on living in the present, which is just enough for now.
The title alone from Yolanda Smith’s article will make you want to read it! “That Time I was Nearly Eaten by a Black Man” was so interesting to me in regard to how we teach children about skin color and what we can personally do to eradicate racism.
I always love to read what people are reading and loving these days. When fellow pastor’s wife Carrie Stephens includes GIFs from “The Office” and coffee, I know we need to be friends.
Amy’s Top 3 Truths to teach her children is a helpful, encompassing little list.
I listened to Kitty Hurdle‘s interview on the Mud Stories podcast, and realized just how much she and I have in common. You’ll love her story.
Enjoy.
