I always love knowing what people are reading. More often than not, something from their reading list goes directly on to mine. I mostly get this from blogs or Facebook because for some reason I never think to ask people in person what they’re reading. Although to be fair, as I, thinking about why that is, I think reason is mostly that my daily life friends aren’t really big readers. Maybe I should start a book club to encourage friends to read. (Also, that would be SO fun.)
I’m library reader because we don’t really have a book budget–even though we should since my husband and I are both big readers. Since having our youngest, though, I just don’t make it to the library very often so I find myself utilizing the e-library option. They don’t always have every book on my list, many when they do there’s usually a long waiting list, but it’s still been a great option for instantly downloading books to my iPad. Here’s a look at my holds list:
I err on the side of fiction a bit too much, so I force myself to work through non-fiction but unless it’s memoir, I don’t enjoy it like I do fiction.
I did just finish reading a sweet little piece of non-fiction by Annie Downs entitled “Let’s All Be Brave”, and I really did enjoy it. I had heard her talk about it in a podcast and had thought she’d talk a bit more kore about writing and being published in the book. Even though she didn’t, it was still an encouraging read.
I’m reading Rules of Civility right now, and though it’s not my normal taste I’m really loving it.

I do a lot of reading of library ebooks too! I loved The Invention of Wings. I just heard about The Kitchen House and want to read that one too. I’m reading A Man Called Ove right now, and it has a quirky charm to it. Have you read Station Eleven? I loved that one too.
I haven’t read Station Eleven, but it looks so interesting and it’s now on my list. Thanks for the rec!
